Welcome to the ASBODATA general questions and answers section. When necessary we update the answers to reflect
the latest changes in law and legislation. If you don't find the answer to your question below please contact us.
1. How long will it take for me to receive my report?

Every report is individually researched by ASBODATA and is the subject of requests to Public Bodies.
Public Bodies are allowed 20 working days to respond to us and then the report is prepared and sent out to you. Therefore we expect a report to be with you 28 days after it is ordered.

2. What is in the report?

The report will tell you about the incidents reported to the local authority of anti-social behaviour over the last six months in the street or road requested. It will also tell you about other factors and measures that may affect that street such as ASBOs and dispersal orders. The report will also give the street a rating on the RESPECT-COLEMAN scale which will give you an idea of the relative levels of ASB on that street.

3. Why should I order a report?

Our reports will warn you about problems that have occurred in the area that you are thinking of moving to about which you would not otherwise know until you have moved in.

4. Isn’t this information already available?

As far as we are aware this information is not published. ASBODATA has been created specifically to obtain information which we believe you are entitled to have but which is not readily available.

5. Who can request a report?

Anyone can request an ASBODATA report. Provided you have a genuine interest in the information in the report you can make an application. Whether you are selling or buying a property or just thinking about moving house you can apply.

6. Can I put a report in my HIP

Yes. We believe that an ASBODATA report will be a useful addition to the HIP and may assist in the sale of the property.

7. What about crime mapping?

Crime mapping is not as good an indicator of quality or enjoyment of life as anti-social behaviour reports. As your local police will tell you, noisy neighbours are not commiting a crime, nor are the youths gathering at the end of the street and intimidating passers by. However our reports will reveal these issues as well as a host of other sub-criminal activity.
